New Particulars Emerge Regarding the Location of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

Fresh particulars have surfaced concerning the untimely demises of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their Brentwood, Los Angeles residence on Sunday.

The Alarm

According to a report referencing a confidential source, a massage therapist scheduled for an session was the first to notice something was wrong after not being able to enter the house. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

Upon entering the house, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had gone with her contacted 911. Following this, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, including the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently detained and denied bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source challenged several previously reported details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not identify him as a suspect at that time.

Furthermore pushed back against published claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's conduct in recent weeks. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction also extends to descriptions of reportedly "erratic" behavior by Nick at a gathering hosted by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the discovery. While the source stated they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they asserted that suggestions of a "blow-up" between the two were not correct.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some accounts noted the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the family home. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until Wednesday at the earliest.
