I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
